Brandon Helms, O.D., was raised in Conway, Arkansas. He has always been passionate about helping people, which led him to pursue a career in optometry. He studied at Harding University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies with a focus on Science and Economics. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University.

Dr. Helms continued his education at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX, where he obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree. After completing his studies, he was accepted into a residency position at the Northport VA in New York, where he received advanced training in the treatment and management of ocular conditions, including Glaucoma, Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, and treatment of visual symptoms after traumatic brain injury.
Dr. Helms is a certified optometric glaucoma specialist and neuro-optometry trained. While in school, he also participated in a medical mission trip to Costa Rica to provide eye exams. When he is not working, Dr. Helms enjoys spending time with his wife Jenny, playing golf, and watching the Razorbacks! (Woo pig)
